When Iron Diamond Media asked us to partner as the planner and designer for the Nebraska Wedding Day Best Of 2025 Awards, we didn’t hesitate for a second. It was an honor to collaborate on an event that celebrates the incredible talent, dedication, and artistry of the Nebraska wedding community. Even more exciting? This was our first-ever event hosted at the newly renovated Joslyn Art Museum, who so generously sponsored the venue. From the very beginning, we knew this experience would be—what we keep calling—a major labor of major love.
The theme of the evening was “The Sky is the Limit”, and that sentiment rang true through every detail, every installation, and every creative collaboration. Dozens of wedding vendors from across the state came together to make magic for those who, day after day, make magic for others.

We were inspired by the scale of the Joslyn and wanted to fully embrace its grandeur by utilizing multiple spaces throughout the museum. On install day—hot, long, and full of hustle—crews moved through five different spaces, each transforming into something special.

Guests began their evening in the soaring lobby, greeted by a massive custom wall showcasing the 2025 magazine covers, designed by Nicole Reher Creative and The Wallflower. From there, they ascended the grand staircase adorned with stunning florals from Lavish Flower Design, a true “wow” moment.

The VIP cocktail hour on the bridge featured a champagne dress from Omaha Circus Arts, specialty bites and sips from Abraham Catering (including the crowd-favorite “Cloud 9” cocktail with cotton candy), a chic lounge setup from Catalyst Event Rentals, and a one-of-a-kind perfume bar experience from Pretty Girl Fragrance Bar.

Guests then transitioned into the Fountain Court, where living statues from Omaha Circus Arts echoed the surrounding artwork, a cloud-inspired custom bar from Diehl Event Rentals served cocktails, and the elegant sounds of the Mahr String Quartet set the tone.

The auditorium was the stage for the awards show, enhanced by a massive LED screen featuring a thunderstorm-inspired video montage of the year’s work. The celebration of winners was electric—our favorite moment being the thunderous cheers and support shared across the community. To our surprise and delight, we were honored to receive Best Event Designer and Best Overall Wedding Professional—a recognition that left us incredibly grateful.

Finally, guests were led “marching band style” back to the atrium by Omaha Street Percussion, where Downtown Collective brought the energy to the dance floor on a three-tiered, cloud-bank inspired stage.

Looking back, we’re overwhelmed with pride. This event was not just about décor, design, or logistics—it was about honoring a community of professionals who pour their hearts into making wedding dreams come true. We’re endlessly thankful to Iron Diamond Media, The Joslyn, and every single vendor who made this night shine.
To us, it truly was a major labor of major love.
