Events involve tons of details and decisions. Our philosophy? Don't choose something just to check it off the list - choose it because you truly love it and it resonates with you. We've built our process around connecting with you and understanding the heart and soul of your celebration. And we'll help you make decisions that honor and reflect what matters most to you.
Party Starters with Intention
Industry Leaders who Operate in Full View
Planning an event can feel like a huge undertaking. As the team navigating you through it, we want you to feel at ease at all times—and that requires trust. To earn yours, our relationship starts with full transparency. We'll explain how your budget will be allocated. You'll have access to every contract on file. And you'll know any updates as they happen.
So you can put your guard down, feel a sense of confidence, and actually enjoy the process.
They asked many questions about what makes us tick, what we envisioned for our day, and what would make it special. They provided us with so much knowledge about what we should expect, where they come in, and what our day would look like.
We live for wow moments rooted in personal expression and meaning. And want nothing more than for you to see yourself in every inch of your event. We'll begin with purposeful conversations and get to know who you are. Then we'll instill that into every element of your event. Because you are one-of-a-kind and your milestone events should be, too.
Sticklers for Personal Expression
Dream Weavers who Prioritize Collaboration
It takes co-creation and imagination to create an affair that is truly yours. For a collaborative experience, you need a team to bounce ideas off of, to brainstorm, and dream with. To do this, we take your vision and most epic ideas, push them to the next level and steer you through the process by way of logistics and design.
Working together means you have the full force of 402 as a creative partner and guide.
They were creative and helped us form our vision for our wedding. They were so kind and understanding; we knew we could trust them to guide us through this process.
Steven Finkle
Steven's love for events started in college- when he was studying criminal justice and throwing themed parties for hundreds at a rental house. It escalated to nightclubs and music festivals attended by thousands. By 22 years old, Steven understood the logistics behind producing some of the most complicated events. From there, he dove headfirst into the wedding world, learning everything he could about back-end operations and coordination from hotels and wedding planning firms. After plenty of trial and error, Steven decided to go out on his own, and in 2016, 402 Events was born.
When he's not leading the charge, Steven loves to travel with his wife, Kati, and hang out with his two dogs Nala and Reuben. His favorite things to do are go to live concerts, work out, and have as many epic experiences as humanly possible.

Nick is the mastermind behind operations, ensuring collaborations with clients and partnerships with vendors go off without a hitch. He has been with 402 for four years and has an extensive background in logistical optimization.
When Nick isn't working, he's on the golf course or spending time with friends and family. He enjoys all things sports, music, and comedy. Nick’s a ball of positivity and our "yes" man who prefers to go with the flow. If you have the good fortune of running into him, he might tell you that you get out of life what you put in.
Alex seamlessly weaves together the artistic and operational sides of events with an unwavering commitment to excellence. He has been with 402 Events for three years and has a Master’s in Arts Management and Leadership.
When Alex isn't working, he loves to travel, especially to New York and Europe. He loves a good martini, going out on the town, and the local restaurant scene. Much of Alex's creativity comes from his background as a painter, songwriter, musician, and theatre artist on Broadway. Ready for a showstopping event?
Marley is our dedicated liaison between vendors and clients. She ensures operations remain flawless throughout the entire planning process. Marley has been with 402 Events for 3 years and has a background in festival and event coordination and a Master’s in Science.
When Marley isn't working, she likes to read, go out with the 402 team, see live music and theater, and explore new places in Omaha. She loves to travel to Denver and the Pacific Northwest to see her family.
Lauren is our creative visionary who has never met a precisely set tablescape she didn’t like. She handles all of the logistics, design elements, and vendor meetings so that your event flows smoothly and stress-free.
When Lauren isn’t working, she’s binge-reading romance novels, preferably on a white sandy beach, or tearing up the dance floor out on the town. A true crafting enthusiast, Lauren thrives on creative challenges—always ready to create something unique and unforgettable!
Austin expertly handles client-facing inquiries and consultations, along with overseeing production installations and strikes.
When he isn’t supporting the team, he’s gaming, reading something in the sci-fi or horror genre, or listening to heavy metal. And those leftovers you weren’t in the mood to eat at lunch? Austin’s on top of it.
Makayla started as our stand-out intern and returned as our unflappable Event Coordinator. She is meticulously attentive to detail, cool under pressure, and passionate about creating unforgettable experiences.
When Makayla isn't working, she loves to hang out with her dogs Maui and Charli, spend time by the water, enjoy a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, or watch reality TV. Ask her about all the hot TV gossip; she has the scoop.
They're a rare group - humble, creative, FUN, and willing to put in the work.
