This year marked a milestone we don’t take lightly. 10 years of 402 Events.
What started as a creative vision has grown into a decade of designing, producing, and bringing meaningful celebrations to life. While so much has evolved over the years, our purpose has remained the same. To create experiences that feel intentional, elevated, and deeply personal.
Where It Began
402 Events was founded by Owner and Principal, Steven Finkle, who started the business in his basement with a small investment and a big vision. What began as a one man operation was fueled by a genuine passion for hosting events and creating epic experiences. A word he still uses often, and one the team has come to know well.
Inspired by the energy and impact of bringing people together, Steven set out to build something more than just an event company. From the beginning, the mission was clear: to evolve the way events are experienced by blending creativity, culture, and thoughtful execution into something that feels immersive, design-driven, and truly memorable.
What We’ve Built
Over the past 10 years, 402 Events has produced 1,325 events, each one unique and each one a reflection of the people and purpose behind it.
Along the way, we’ve transformed blank spaces into immersive environments, collaborated with an incredible network of creatives and vendors, navigated tight timelines and complex logistics, and grown from a one-person operation into a team of 18.
Over time, we’ve refined our process and our perspective. We’ve learned when to push creatively and when to simplify. We’ve built systems that allow us to operate at a higher level, while staying grounded in the passion that started it all.

Celebrating 10 Years
To celebrate 10 years, we gathered at the Benson Theatre surrounded by many of the people who have been part of this journey. It was a night that gave us the chance to step away from the pace of the industry, connect, and just simply enjoy each other’s company outside of the day-to-day.
Steven shared a few words reflecting on where it all began and what’s been built along the way. A simple but meaningful reminder of how far this has come, and how many people have played a role in it.
It wasn’t just a celebration. It was a reflection of the community that has shaped 402 Events from the beginning.
