From the very first time we sat down with Jamee and Travis, we knew their wedding was going to be something epic. They came to the table with two priorities when it came to design and planning: their kids and Blink-182. Jamee and Travis are huge fans, and they wanted their wedding to reflect their love for the band, and their nearest and dearest. So we set to work to help “make this night last forever” and help them “remember the time they fell in love”.
We designed their invite suite, menus, and cocktail napkins, all featuring different sets of their favorite song lyrics. We worked with the incredible graphic designer Nicole Reher Creative to curate their “Ellis 12.31” logo, inspired by the iconic album art. Friends, family, (and especially kiddos) loved the temporary tattoo station, and most guests left with at least a few images from Blink iconography or the couple’s faces “tatted” across them. The highlight though certainly was our very own Alex Hollmann collaborating with bride and groom to arrange their very own ceremony processional medley, composed entirely of their favorite Blink-182 songs. We created a vibe that was equal parts punk rock and romantic, and the whole night had a playful energy that only Blink-182 fans could appreciate.
But beyond the edgy details, what really stood out were the Ellises themselves—cool, family-focused, and full of life. More than anything, they wanted their families, and especially their kids, to feel special the entire day. Their guests were treated to an intimate, heartfelt ceremony before the real party kicked off. A delicious plated meal, courtesy of the Farnam Hotel, was capstoned by toasts that encapsulated the couple’s unique and genuine love story. And as the clock struck midnight, it wasn’t just streamers that rained down—the couple shared a first kiss as husband and wife, with Blink’s “All the Small Things” blasting through the speakers, of course. A perfect marriage of family, love, and punk rock.
This wedding had it all—the heart, the fun, and those rock and roll moments that made it one of the most memorable events we’ve ever had the pleasure to create. Cheers to the Ellis family, and to New Year’s Eve weddings that break the mold!
