Steven Finkle - Event Director / CEO

Steven’s journey with 402 Events is a true coming of age story. Since high school and college, he has been known to throw crazy parties for some of his closest friends. Steven started 402 Event Services in 2016 and started out in the basement of his dad’s office, where the inventory was small and the employee list even smaller. Since then, he has grown to include a multitude of custom production rentals and 20+ staff. Steven’s genuine love of events came from helping his late uncle with custom holiday lighting for events, grew into wild college parties, and today he owns his own event planning and production company. Outside of work, he is married to his beautiful wife Kati and has two dogs. His favorite work is “Epic” and will use it to describe memorable experiences, or just about anything for that matter. But, Steven’s best characteristics are his passion, drive, and ability to accomplish just about anything he has set for himself.

Kel Ganeku - Production Manager

Kel is the “Ron Swanson” of the company. When he isn’t in his office or on-site at events, he enjoys golfing with friends and bowling. If he had one superpower he would choose cross-species linguistics, which we assume would be to talk to dogs since he loves them so much. Anything else you’d like to know about Kel is, “on a need to know basis.”

Nick Maxson - Assistant Production Manager

Nick, aka NickyFresh, is the definition of calm, cool, and collected. If Nick isn’t in the office, he is out taking photos of nature or on the golf course. In the past, Nick has managed warehouses and employees, and his favorite aspect of events is seeing bare spaces come to life. If you think a hot dog is considered a sandwich, then you have something in common with Nick.

Marley Bredehoeft - Event and Human Resources Manager

Event coordinator, graduate student, cat mom. When she’s not in the office she’s probably in the lab working on her Master’s degree or at a happy hour somewhere. Her guilty pleasures include trash, reality television and cheesy mystery novels. Her cats, Ripley and Jonesy, would describe her as loud, passionate, and never home because she works so much.

Shayla Bentley - Event Manager

Shayla graduated from UNL with a degree in Pre-med Mathematics. She is currently a full time Commercial Auto Senior Underwriter at National Indemnity Company, but has finally found her true passion of helping plan, coordinate, and organize any event that comes her way. She will be by your side every step of the way making sure every little detail is covered! In her free time, she loves planning for the future, renovating her house, and spending time with her boyfriend, Aaron, and adorable dog Lady.

Bailey Kavaliunas - Event Services and Operations Manager

Bailey went to school at Iowa State University, originally pursuing a degree in interior design until she discovered her passion for event planning. She recently graduated with a degree in event management and has been enjoying forming close relationships with clients to transform their visions into realities. If you’re looking for someone with a keen eye to detail, Bailey is your girl! When she isn’t with her wonderful clients, you can find her shopping, having drinks with friends, attending concerts, or cheering on the Cyclones.

Madeline Roth - Event Design and Sales Manager

Madeline works by your side through the design and planning process as well as the day of your event to assist with every need possible. After 5 years in the wedding industry, Madeline has earned a vast amount of experience in numerous ways ranging from floral art, decor design, event hospitality, planning and day of coordinating. With the help of Madeline’s quick problem solving and creative mind, we are able to ensure your event is a success! Madeline has a degree in floral art and design, she is currently working towards earning her CMP.
